Dematting range from £5 to £30 extra depending on severity. A few knots will not incur a fee however more time consuming matting will start at £5. If your dog is severely matted then an additional £30 will be incurred. 

ZenPaws do not accept dogs with fleas. If Fleas are discovered then there may be an additional charge from £10 depending on severity to cover costs of salon decontamination and flea bombs.

For the health and safety of your pet, ZenPaws do not express anal glands. We recommend consulting a veterinarian for this service, as they have the medical expertise to assess and handle anal gland care properly

If you require hand stripping then please contact us directly to book an appointment as extra time will be required. 

To avoid any unnecessary stress or potential health risks, we do not accept pregnant or in-heat bitches for grooming. Grooming during pregnancy or heat can increase the risk of discomfort, stress, and injury, so it is best to schedule grooming services before these times.

We request that all pets are free of fleas and parasites before their grooming appointment. If fleas or parasites are detected, we may need to suspend the grooming session and implement a flea treatment to protect our facility and other animals. An additional fee will apply to cover the cost of disinfecting the grooming area, which will be discussed and added to your final bill.

Please inform us of any health conditions or special requirements your pet has before the grooming appointment. We are happy to adapt our services as much as possible for your pet’s needs; however, we may recommend veterinary care in some cases to ensure your dog’s safety.

ZenPaws reserves the right to refuse or pause services for dogs exhibiting aggressive behaviours that could pose a risk to themselves or staff. We will discuss any observed behavioural issues and potential solutions to make future appointments safe and comfortable for everyone.

ZenPaws do not cover daycare or additional time beyond your selected service. As this is a small salon we do not have capacity to keep your dog on site whilst we carry on with our next appointments. Therefore an additional fee will apply after 30 minutes of your collection time. This will start at £10 per half hour and may result in future bookings being void.

If you need to reschedule or cancel an appointment, please notify us at least 24 hours in advance. Missed appointments or last-minute cancellations will be subject to the amount of service booked. If you have booked online and/or we have your card details stored securely for your system profile, this will be charged to the card provided. If you do not have a card on record, the amount will still be payable. 

– I confirm that I have disclosed and will continue to disclose any medical, behavioural, or other conditions that could impact my pet’s grooming experience.

– I affirm that my pet is up to date on all vaccinations, flea prevention, and worm treatments.

– I understand that my pet must not be brought to ZenPaws if they have fleas or any other parasites. Should this occur, additional charges will apply, starting at £10 and varying depending on the severity of the infestation.

– I acknowledge that severe matting can cause discomfort, skin irritation, and infections. Attempting to remove matting through brushing may lead to conditions such as dermatitis, irritation, brush burns, nicks, or cuts and can be stressful for the pet. If severe matting is detected, shaving the coat may be necessary. While the groomer will take all precautions and use specialised tools, shaving may cause skin irritation. Additional charges may apply for the time required to manage matting or shaving this starts from £5 to £30 depending on severity. 

– I understand that the groomer reserves the right to decline or discontinue grooming services at any time, particularly if the pet cannot be groomed safely without risking harm to the groomer, staff, or the pet. ZenPaws is authorised to use a muzzle if deemed necessary. Aggressive behaviour from clients or pets will not be tolerated.

– I agree to inform the groomer of any potential aggressive tendencies in my dog. ZenPaws recognises this is a sensitive issue, but failure to disclose aggression could pose significant risks to all involved. If my pet exhibits aggression and the groomer decides to withdraw services, I accept that the full appointment fee remains payable.

– I grant the groomer permission to groom my pet as per the requirements discussed. I understand that my desired grooming outcome serves as a guideline, and the final result may vary due to factors such as matting, behavioural issues, or prior grooming errors. I agree to any necessary additional grooming, understanding that I will be responsible for any extra costs incurred.

– In the event of an emergency while my pet is in the groomer’s care, I authorise the groomer to seek treatment from a qualified veterinarian if required. I accept full responsibility for any veterinary costs incurred.

– I consent to the use of the information I provide for administrative purposes, statistical analysis, and marketing. I understand my details will not be shared with third parties except in emergencies, such as providing information to a vet.

– I agree to allow ZenPaws to take photos of my pet during their groom. I grant permission for these images to be used for marketing purposes, including on social media and the ZenPaws website.

– I understand and agree to pay the appointment fee and any additional charges incurred. Should I fail to make payment, Zen Paws reserves the right to pursue the outstanding balance. 

By signing this agreement and or instructing ZenPaws to carry out any services, I confirm my understanding and acceptance of these terms and conditions.
